Privacy Policy

Last updated September 2026. This page explains what information dougstrange.com collects and how it is used.

What we collect

• Mailing list. If you subscribe using the newsletter form, we collect your email address. It is stored by our email service, Mailchimp, and used only to send updates about music, shows, and releases. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
• Booking and contact form. If you submit the booking form, we collect the information you enter (such as your name, email, and event details) and use it only to respond to your inquiry.
• Site analytics. We may use an analytics tool such as Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, general location, device type). This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
• Security logs. For security purposes, our hosting and security tools automatically log visitor IP addresses and basic request information. This data is used only to protect the site from abuse and is not shared for marketing purposes.
• Embedded video. Videos on this site are hosted on Vimeo and only load their player after you choose to play one. Once loaded, Vimeo may set its own cookies; see Vimeo’s privacy policy for details.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies needed for it to function (such as remembering that a video should play). If analytics or advertising tools are added in the future, this policy will be updated to describe them.

Purchases

If and when merchandise becomes available for purchase on this site, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your card details on our own servers.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the services that help run this site: Mailchimp (mailing list), our web hosting provider, and, if enabled, Google Analytics. Each of these has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on our behalf.

How long we keep data

Mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Booking form submissions are kept as long as needed to respond to your inquiry. Security logs are kept for a limited period and then rotated out automatically.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time. To ask what information we hold about you, or to request it be deleted, email privacy@dougstrange.com.
